Ebay app11/3/2023 We previously had an Ebay store and started a separate Shopify store (moving our store of 20+ years to Shopify). I have been informed by the ebay channel that is eBay doing this and they have just as much access to eBay reps as we do. I spent months customizing and it cost us so much time and $$$. Everything for them, nothing for the Seller. Here's what some sellers had to say about it:Įbay does it again. Translation: eBay has decided it's not worth investing in developing or maintaining this app to provide a better seller experience - sorry if you spent time and money integrating your Shopify store to bring your inventory to the eBay market, but you're own your own. Any sales made outside of your Shopify store/Shopify Payments, we don't have access too." They mention that the remittance rate cannot be changed and you are bound to abide by what has been signed in your Shopify Capital agreement. "I have reached out to the Capital team and they have confirmed what I mentioned in our chat previously. So in other words it'll be taking more than 6 years to repay this, as opposed to 6-8 months with eBay sales included. Looking at my calendar YTD figures, I'd have repaid 14% so far this year. Now you've made me switch away from your in built eBay integration to a third party app, my repayments are 10% of my Shopify sales alone. Previously my repayment was 10% of combined Shopify and eBay sales, which was fine. As I can't get a sensible answer from seller support, can someone from Shopify please confirm how Shopify Capital repayments will now work as you've scrapped the eBay integration.
